Google did not introduce YouTube for Android Auto because people tend to lose focus when driving a car. Therefore we can only use YouTube for Android in an unofficial way. Thanks to Kiran Kumar he has developed an Android Auto YouTube hack called Car Streaming (formerly called YouTube Auto). It allows YouTube videos to be played on Android Auto with translation additions like Chinese and Italian. To use this car streaming, you must make sure that you have downloaded both the Android Auto app and Car Stream.

HOW TO SET UP CAR STREAM (YOUTUBE AUTO)

1. Start the installed Android Auto App on your Android Start Display

2. Click on the 3 stripes icon in the upper left corner

3. Tap on "About Android Auto".

4. In the opened window, tap "About Android Auto" several times again.

5. Click on the menu located on the top right corner and tap on “Developer Settings”

6. Check the box "Unknown Resources", Video 720p and 1080p.

7. Launch the Car Stream App now

8. There you have it... Have fun with YouTube on Android Auto
