STEP 1: DISASSEMBLE THE CAR RADIO
Simply remove the gearshift cover, either by hand or with a tool.
Remove the 2 Torx T20 screws.
Then pull the fan unit towards you, it's just clipped in place.
Remove the green connector and lay the fan unit aside.
There are still 2 Torx T20 screws.
Simply slide the center console aside, and remove the 2 Torx T20 screws holding the car radio.
STEP 2: WIRING
Then remove the QUADLOCK power connector (left) and the blue video connector (LVDS).
Make a By-pass with the LVDS video connector, and the same with the QUADLOCK (power connector).
NB: If you have a fiber optic cable (the 2 orange cables on the original power connector), you'll need to remove it and put it back in the set (on the new wiring).
The easiest way is to pull the cables from the right-hand side and store the CarPlay module under the carpet.
STEP 3: TEST
Press the EXIT button on your steering wheel for 2-3 seconds.
The menu appears, select what you want to use: Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or Mirror Screen.
We've chosen Apple CarPlay, which will launch by default (without the previous menu). To choose Android Auto, for example, go to the HOME application.
