The popular and delightfully snarky weather app CARROT Weather has just rolled out a major update, introducing two exciting new features: CarPlay support and automatic Live Activities.
CARROT Weather Comes to CarPlay
With CarPlay integration, CARROT Weather now functions as a navigation app, similar to Google Maps—but with a twist. Not only can you enter a destination and receive turn-by-turn directions, but you’ll also get real-time weather updates along your route.
Key Weather Features on CarPlay:
âś” Live radar for up-to-the-minute precipitation tracking
âś” Severe weather warnings to help you stay safe on the road
âś” Wind speeds and visibility levels for better driving conditions

Auto-Starting Live Activities for Precipitation
CARROT Weather’s next-hour precipitation chart now starts automatically when rain or snow is detected in your area.
How It Works:
đź”” Get a notification about 15 minutes before precipitation begins
📲 A Live Activity widget appears on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
🌧️ The widget updates in real-time until the rain or snow stops
Previously, users had to manually open the app to activate Live Activities—but not anymore!

Both new features require a CARROT Weather Premium subscription.
