Volkswagen Golf 6 MIB installation tutorial

We will see in this tutorial in pictures how to install a MIB Volkswagen car radio instead of the basic screen present on the Golf 6. The installation is very easy and very fast, it is really within the reach of all!

Required equipment: A Torx T20 screwdriver

Installation time: 5 minutes

Inventory: a Volkswagen MIB station

STEP 1: DISMANTLING THE ORIGINAL GOLF 6 STATION

First, remove the plastic cover (spacer around the original post).

Once removed, we can see that the original car radio is maintained by 4 screws.

2 on the left.

2 on the right.

Now you can take out the original item.

2 cables to disconnect: the radio connector (white) and the quadlock (power supply)

Simply remove the Quadlock by unlocking the latch.

STEP 2: CONNECTIONS

Simply reconnect the new MIB to your old car radio in the reverse order.

STEP 3 : ENJOY

The MIB touchscreen will completely modernize your Volkswagen Golf 6. It fully respects the VW environment for a perfect integration. Of course, you will also have access to the integrated applications : Apple Carplay & Android Auto.
