TWO MODELS AVAILABLE

To please its customers, the manufacturer has unveiled a new system called « Porsche Classic Communication Management » (PCCM) that allows CarPlay to be added to the vehicle. Two models are available: 1 DIN car radio and 2 DIN car radio.

The 1-DIN car radio is equipped with a 3.5-inch display, 2 integrated buttons and wheels, a USB and SD card port, an AUX socket, Bluetooth support, and Apple CarPlay (from iPhone 5). It is a model that can be installed on the 911 models released between 1960 and 1998, but also on the 914 or 944 models.

The 2 DIN car radio is intended for vehicles from the 1990s onwards, such as the Porsche 711 Type 996, and even the first generation of Boxster. In addition to the options already mentioned above, this model is equipped with a large 7-inch high-definition touch screen. Icing on the cake, it also supports Android Auto. What more could you ask for?

THE PRICE

The first model is sold for 1,439.89 euros and the second for 1,606.51 euros. They are available on the German brand's online shop and at its dealerships. So what are you waiting for to replace the radio in your old Porsche?

Whatever you choose, you can install it on your vehicle yourself. However, the German manufacturer recommends having an expert at one of the many Porsche Classic Centers throughout Europe. This way, you will have access to all the functions of your smartphone: navigation, calendar, music, podcasts, etc.

As a reminder, Porsche has specified that the PCCM system is not available for the 356 and Carrera GT.
