How do I install CarPlay in a Bentley Continental GT?

In recent years, the iPhone has continued to grow in popularity around the world, and so has CarPlay, Apple's in-car system.

In a Bentley Continental GT, there's nothing better than having CarPlay on board. How do you get this in-car system on board? We take a look.

WHY CARPLAY IN A BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT?

Having CarPlay in your Bentley Continental GT means you're guaranteed to enjoy a multitude of features on board. Apple's in-car system allows you to have dozens of apps on the dashboard screen, including Spotify or Deezer to listen to music, Waze or Maps to navigate a GPS, and more.

In addition to the apps, the system allows you to use the voice assistant Siri to make and/or receive calls, listen to messages, etc. Note that most CarPlay modules are compatible with the original steering wheel controls.

As a reminder, the Bentley Continental GT is compatible with Apple's in-car system. All you have to do is activate it.

CarPlay activation

To activate CarPlay in your Bentley, there are two paths to take:

• Via an USB cable;
• Or wirelessly;

Activation takes just a few minutes. There are no additional apps to install. To get there, you need to:

• Activate Siri on the iPhone;
• Plug the smartphone into the vehicle's USB port;
• Press the voice control button on the steering wheel and select "Available cars" on the iPhone;
• Follow the setup wizard;

Once activated, CarPlay will automatically appear on the radio's touch screen. If the system does not start, it is possible to do it manually:

• Press menu;
• Click on "Related Services" ;
• And select "Apple CarPlay";

If the car radio on board is not compatible with the Apple in-car system, you can opt for our Apple CarPlay Bentley Continental GT (2011-2017)! Its price defies all competition.

How do I install a CarPlay radio in a Bentley?

Installing a CarPlay module in your Bentley Continental GT varies from model to model. If you choose the one available in our online store, installation is quick and easy.

Our module is "Plug & Play". In other words, the device integrates seamlessly into the vehicle's dashboard. All your original functions remain intact. You'll also have the option of Carplay/Android Auto and Mirror Link.

To install the module, if you are not entirely comfortable with installation or DIY, then call an automotive professional who will do it without any problems.
