I don't have Carplay on my iPhone

I don't have Carplay on my iPhone (it's impossible actually, since all iPhones from iPhone 5S onwards have Carplay inside)

Apple Carplay allows you to connect a car to an iPhone. The iPhone must be compatible and the vehicle must be supported in order to use it. Carplay allows iPhone users to connect their cell phone to their car through its information and entertainment system (the dashboard touch screen). But why don't I have Carplay on my iPhone? Here is the answer to that question.

HOW DOES APPLE CARPLAY WORK?

All cars with Apple Carplay coordinate with your iPhone, which must be compatible. The connection is made by pooling the Lightning connector and a USB port of the vehicle.

From the years 2015, the company Apple has had the support of Carplay introduced wirelessly. This only works from iOS 9 and you would need a car that will be compatible. In other words, it must also offer the same functionality.

If all the conditions are met, when you go to connect Apple Carplay to your car, the car will directly collect the data from the phone that it will load simultaneously. All Carplay-enabled cars have a voice command button. It is often located on the steering wheel. Once pressed, it will allow you to call up the Siri assistant to take advantage of Apple's voice services. You can also make requests for directions, make calls or even send texts.

What makes Apple Carplay very appealing is actually your car's information and entertainment system and its often dashboard-mounted touch screen. The dials and buttons on your Carplay-enabled vehicle, as well as voice and touch commands, can be used to provide interaction between the two systems.

WHICH IPHONE MODELS HAVE APPLE CARPLAY?

In order to benefit from Carplay services on your iPhone, you must have at least an iOS 7 version or one of the later versions. Also, your iPhone must have a Lightning connector to ensure the connection with a car.

The iPhones that are compatible with Apple Carplay include: iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 +, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S +, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 +, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 +.

To this list will be added the latest generation versions, without central button and with notch of Apple. These include: iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 pro, iPhone 11 pro max, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 pro, iPhone 12 pro max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 pro and iPhone 13 pro Max.

To access the Carplay settings, just go to the iPhone settings listed above. Once in there, press general and finally Carplay.
