Volkswagen Polo 6R MIB station installation tutorial

We will see in this super simple tutorial in pictures how to install a Volkswagen MIB radio instead of the original one present on the Polo 6R. The installation is very easy and very fast, it is really within the reach of everyone!

Required equipment: A Torx T20 screwdriver

Installation time: 5 minutes

Inventory: one Volkswagen MIB for Polo 6R

STEP 1: DISASSEMBLE THE ORIGINAL POLO 6R STATION

First, remove the plastic cover (spacer around the original station).

Once removed, we can see that the original car radio is maintained by 4 screws.

2 on the left.

2 on the right.

Now you can take out the original item.

2 cables to disconnect: the radio connector (white) and the quadlock (power supply)

Simply remove the Quadlock by unlocking the latch.

STEP 2: CONNECTIONS

Simply reconnect the new MIB to your old car radio in the reverse order.

STEP 3 : ENJOY

The MIB touchscreen will completely modernize your Volkswagen Polo 6R. It fully respects the VW environment for a perfect integration. Of course, you will also have access to the integrated applications: Apple Carplay & Android Auto and even Mirror Link (to watch Youtube videos for example).
